It's a simple concept that we've been perfecting over the years. We spend the winter organizing and recruiting the perfect space where the community is willing and able to adopt a new CSA garden. Then, in the spring when the weather breaks, we show up one Saturday morning with a team of volunteers, donated materials and garden transplants ready to put into the ground. When we leave in the evening there's a living garden where blight or nothing was the day earlier. Any community is strengthened with a neighborhood garden. Help rebuild Detroit by supporting this annual event. Volunteers and contributors needed. We still need about $1000 total and we're already about one quarter there from pledges and donations already made. If you'd like to contribute to this community project, contact Sean Marshall Fotograffiti or Dottie Shepherd Harris Things needed. $400 lumber for six 3'x9' raised beds. $150 IBC tank & water catchment system $250 compost delivery $100 weed block matting $50 screws $50 seeds http://www.gofundme.com/p5z74s http://www.facebook.com/events/419374378216323/

It's a simple concept that we've been perfecting over the years. We show up on an abandoned lot in the morning with a team of volunteers, materials and transplants and when we leave in the evening there's a living garden in the wake. Volunteers and contributors needed. Fundraising starts now. We need about $1000 total and we're already about one third there from pledges and donations already made. We have about three months to raise the rest of the funds. If you'd like to contribute to this community project, contact Sean Marshall Fotograffiti or Dottie Shepherd Harris Things needed. $400 lumber for six 3'x9' raised beds. $150 IBC tank & water catchment system $250 compost delivery $100 weed block matting $50 screws $50 seeds http://www.facebook.com/events/419374378216323/
