##6 - 7 pm: March through Ann Arbor. Begin at Liberty Plaza - 255 E. Liberty Street, Ann Arbor. Sponsored by Ann Arbor to Ferguson. ##7 pm: Solidarity concert for Aura Rosser’s Family featuring NZ poets, Rebel Kind, and Tunde Olaniran. [https://www.facebook.com/events/1434912090155777/] (https://www.facebook.com/events/1434912090155777/) We haven’t forgotten that Aura Rosser was shot dead by Ann Arbor Police officer David Ried on November 10, 2014. While authorities in Ann Arbor refuse to recognize that Black Lives Matter, we continue to struggle for justice for Aura and our community. Join us this Friday May 1st at 6pm to march in memory of Aura and in solidarity with all victims of police brutality. “May Day,” International Worker’s Day, commemorates the struggle for a better world of striking immigrant workers that were brutally repressed and murdered by Chicago Police on Haymarket Square in May 1886. The Haymarket square workers were not the first and Aura Rosser was not the last. Since the beginning of 2015, hundreds of African-Americans were killed by police officers, security guards or vigilantes. This cannot continue with impunity. Let us come together to struggle for a different world. A united people will make police obsolete. No justice! No peace!
