At a time when people’s fundamental rights are being attacked and racism and xenophobia are on an uprise, we are witnessing a powerful resurgence of activism. Black Lives Matter is fighting for justice alongside Palestinians who are fighting for their homeland. They have publicly demonstrated their common goals and we are now witnessing a merging of common struggles. We hope you will to join us in a collaborative effort at bringing awareness between these two communities. Al Helm: MLK in Palestine is such a powerful statement that we feel it could be the bonding agent needed to go forward in the struggle for peace, justice and equality. Following the film, a panel conversation will be led with representatives of the African American and Palestinian communities. David Finkel, George Khoury, Kristian Davis Bailey.
