Last week Congressman Dave Trott (MI-11) voted for the American Health Care Act, which will slash Medicaid funding to give a huge tax cut to the rich. The AHCA jeopardizes affordable coverage for millions of Americans with pre-existing conditions. The bill was rushed through the house without knowing the cost and impact. Dave Trott has broken his promises to his constituents. Join Michigan People's Campaign and Indivisible to hold Dave Trott accountable for his actions. We will hold a health care rally starting at 1:00 in Booth Park. We have an interesting, family-friendly program including a health care poetry/story slam. We’ll also hear about upcoming events and how to become involved. During the event, we will create a health care ‘wall’ to present personal health care stories and images to Dave Trott at his office. We will also have a coloring project for the kids. Please submit personal ACA experiences, pictures, and poetry/story slam ideas no later than Thursday 11:59pm to IndivisibleMiEvents@gmail.com. After the rally, we will conduct an orderly march to show our support for affordable health care and reach out to the public. This event coincides with the Birmingham Art Fair where we can show our support for vendors and local merchants after the rally and march. Street parking on Old North Woodward. Nearby parking structures: 333 North Old Woodward Avenue and 333 Park Street. For more information, contact email@example.com https://www.facebook.com/events/477086959294904/
