Don't forget protest at Warren community center. I need everyone to come bring many people and signs too.. This protest is against Mayor faults please come on time 6pm FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Rev. W.J. Rideout III, Founder of Defenders of Truth& Justice Contact: Jackie Marvin, Warren Special Needs Advocate, Creator of “Out with Fouts” Activist Group Rev. Rideout Cell: (313) 492-5009 Jackie Marvin: Cell: (586) 222-5645 The Rev. W.J Rideout III and Warren resident and Special Needs Advocate Jackie Marvin today jointly announce that a demonstration will take place outside tomorrow's Warren City Council meeting beginning at 6:30PM, in the wake of the Mayor's State of the City Address. The demonstrators will include many residents of Warren. Says Reverend Rideout: "For months Mayor Fouts has failed to heal the divide he has created with his hate speech against the disabled community, African-Americans, senior citizens, and now the faith community in the latest released tape insulting members of all religious faiths. "The Mayor has insisted this is not his voice, however a forensic voice analyst has declared the original tape is authentic. Since the Mayor has taken no steps to back up his claim that the tapes are "doctored", including filing a defamation lawsuit against those he believes responsible, it is further proof that he is lying and continues to lie to the public." "This protest is due to the fact the Mayor has so far refused to release any details of the date and time of his State of the City address. If we learn that the State of the City will become a public event, we will also be present to protest at that event as well,” concluded Rideout. Says Warren resident and Special Needs advocate Jackie Marvin: "Finally, we also have a message for the business community: If you continue to send Mayor Fouts contributions, and if you continue to host his events, we will organize large demonstrations against your businesses. The business community and Mayor Fouts' campaign donors need to understand that there are consequences for financing hate. "This protest and future protests go far beyond Mayor Fouts. His political donors and the greater Detroit corporate community need to understand just how hurtful and offensive the Mayor's words and actions have been. And we will hold those that choose to stand with Mayor Fouts accountable as well” concluded special needs advocate Marvin.
