"Vigil in Memory of Aura Rosser and for a world in which Black Lives Matter" Aura Rosser was a Black woman, an artist, a mother of three, and a Lansing native who moved to Ann Arbor a month before she was murdered by Ann Arbor police on November 10th, 2014. This Thursday marks the second anniversary of her murder. Join us on the night of Thursday, November 10, at 8:45p in Aura Rosser plaza ( 310 S Division St) to celebrate the life of Aura and affirm that Black Lives Matter. Collectively we will create a space of both silence and reflection -- a space for Black people to speak about what Aura and/or the Black Lives Matter movement has meant for them. Afterward, we will have a self teach-in where folks can learn more about her life and death as well as a poster-in where we create visuals in her memory. -A3BL If you haven't yet, read our "People's Retort to the Prosecutor's report": https://radicalwashtenaw.files.wordpress.com/2015/04/peoples_-retort.pdf As well as our vision of an abolitionist future: https://radicalwashtenaw.files.wordpress.com/2016/06/web_flyer.pdf https://www.facebook.com/events/157325384733749/
