A dedicated group of volunteers has been bringing healthy, nutritious meals to Cass Park for almost 7 years. We are at the park on the second and fourth Sundays of every month, all year 'round, rain or snow or summer heat. This fundraiser is the main source of income for this effort. It keeps the sausage in the jambalaya. We will be serving a delicious spaghetti dinner with both meat sauce and vegetarian sauce, along with salad and garlic bread, and delicious desserts. Ed Dupas is the opening performer. Then there is the duo of Carl Henry & Tony Berci, and King Sweat Detroit closes the night. We ask for a donation of $15, but we urge you to give what you can. Nobody will be turned away because they can't pay. The income from this fundraiser buys the food and supplies for all of the healthy, nutritious hot meals we share with our friends at Cass Park, on the 2nd & 4th Sundays, all year 'round. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Two notes about parking: 1) Only the fenced lot behind the League and the row along the east side of the building are GL property (free). The big lot east of the League is privately owned, and he is now charging to park. 2) Parking zones have recently been created in Corktown for street parking. Observe parking fee collection units on each block.

Jim and The Wobbly Kitchen ( Detroit) will be serving a delicious SPAGHETTI DINNER with two kinds of sauces—veggie or meat, a beautiful green salad with mixed vegetables and assorted dressings, garlic bread, and a dessert table that could be a meal in itself. We are delighted to announce that our performers will be King Sweat Detroit, and we will arrange the tables with room for dancing. There will again be a Tin Can Raffle, with some wonderful prizes. And maybe a 50-50 raffle some time during the evening. We are asking for a $15 donation. We ask that you give as much as you can afford, but nobody will be turned away. Note about parking: Only the fenced lot behind the League and the row along the east side of the building are GL property (free). The big lot east of the League is privately owned, and he is now charging to park. The parking on the street is free, but be careful to lock your car and don’t leave valuables in view. http://www.facebook.com/events/1647402278807774/
