In celebration of the UN International Day of Peace Themes: Partnership for Peace, Dignity for All; Detroit: Interconnectedness and Interdependence. The Summit begins with a Consciousness Raising Walk in downtown Detroit. Six points of origin to represent the localized issues, organizations, and intentions to be manifested - all begin walking at 5:50pm. Converging at Grand Circus Park by 6:30pm. Community sharing moves into dusk when intentions for the Beloved Community are brought forward and a candlelight vigil is held as night falls. The Detroit Light Brigade will also be present to illuminate messages for the weekend. Friday and Saturday will be held at Marygrove College. Start times are 9am Friday, 10:30am Saturday. There will be keynote presentations, Vision Series, Community Dialogues, Workshops, Building Skills in healing, listening, community awareness, practiced consciousness.
