The Center for Community Based Enterprise (C2BE), Job With Justice, Colors Co-op Academy, The Detroit Black Community Food Security Network (DBCFSN) and The Cooperation Group are continue to jointly sponsoring a potluck series to discuss job creation and economic development ideas for broadly empowering the people of Detroit. The purpose of these gatherings are simple: to break bread over good conversation surrounding the work of building a new economy, based in human need, full employment /green jobs which works for everyone. Everyone is invited who is doing or is interested in doing this kind of community-building. As we get to know each other, we may foster relationships that will enhance our various respective projects and create the possibility for future new-economy collaborations. About the Potluck If you have time to cook, make your favorite dish and bring it to the potluck. If you have more money than time, stop at your favorite deli or restaurant and bring their best edibles. No time and a little money? Stop by your favorite store and pick up your favorite munchies (bag of chips, cookies or whatever). No money or time? Just bring yourself - your presence is a cherished gift.
