Hope Elizabeth May, Ph.D., J.D., director of the Center for International Ethics at Central Michigan University will lead discussion and dialogue that connects untold stories of Korea's history of non-violence and independence to current events. She has lectured numerous times in South Korea, and, in 2017,received a Fulbright scholar grant to teach at the Graduate Institute of Peace Studies at Kyunghee University in Namyangiu, South Korea.

This event examines: • the DTE proposed new reactor, Fermi 3 • low and mid level radioactive reactor releases and waste • the struggle over what to do with America’s 72,000 tons of highly radioactive withdrawn “spent” fuel rods that are lethal in minutes, dangerous for up to a million years • the Ontario proposed deep underground nuclear dump near the Lake Huron shore at Kincardine • Dai-ichi’s 3 destroyed GE Mark 1 reactors (90% risk of containment failure known for decades) • America’s similarly at risk 23 GE Mark 1 reactors, including Fermi 2.
