Join us for an exploration of the events and conditions leading up to the 1967 Detroit rebellion and what occurred during and immediately after that uprising. The program begins with a presentation by William Winkel, a researcher with the Detroit Historical Society and co-manager of the Detroit '67 Oral History Project. Next, The Extra Mile Playwrights Theatre company will perform a staged reading of oral histories of people who witnessed the events of 1967. A talk-back with the writers and presenters will follow.
